چکیده

Satellite-based and reanalysis precipitation products have experienced increasing popularity in agricultural, hydrological meteorological applications, but their accuracy is still uncertain different areas. In this study, six frequently used high-resolution daily products, including Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station data (CHIRPS), Global Satellite Mapping of (GSMaP), Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for Measurement (IMERG), Multi-Source Weighted-Ensemble (MSWEP), Estimation from Remotely Sensed Information using Artificial Neural Networks-Cloud Classification System-Climate Data Record (PERSIANN-CCS-CDR) European Center Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Reanalysis V5-Land (ERA5-Land), were comprehensively evaluated compared nine regions mainland China between 2015 2019. The results reveal that, general, GSMaP the best product agricultural regions, especially based on Pearson correlation coefficient (CC) critical success index (CSI). ERA5-Land MSWEP tend to highest probability detection (POD) values, tends smallest relative root mean squared error (RRMSE) values. performs better at almost all levels most each season, while has performance capturing time series precipitation. addition, perform summer worse winter, they are more accurate eastern region. findings study will contribute understanding uncertainties improving quality guiding selection.

Hydrologic Evaluation of Six High Resolution Satellite Precipitation Products in Capturing Extreme Precipitation and Streamflow over a Medium-Sized Basin in China

Satellite precipitation products (SPPs) are critical data sources for hydrological prediction and extreme event monitoring, especially for ungauged basins. This study conducted a comprehensive hydrological evaluation of six mainstream SPPs (i.e., TMPA 3B42RT, CMORPH-RT, PERSIANN-RT, TMPA 3B42V7, CMORPH-CRT, and PERSIANN-CDR) over humid Xixian basin in central eastern China for a period of 14 ye...

Evaluation of IMERG and TRMM 3B43 Monthly Precipitation Products over Mainland China

As the successor of the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM), the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) mission significantly improves the spatial resolution of precipitation estimates from 0.25 ̋ to 0.1 ̋. The present study analyzed the error structures of Integrated Multisatellite Retrievals for GPM (IMERG) monthly precipitation products over Mainland China from March 2014 to February 20...

Comprehensive Evaluation of Two Successive V3 and V4 IMERG Final Run Precipitation Products over Mainland China

The Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for Global Precipitation Measurement Final Run (IMERGF) product has now been upgraded to Version 4 (V4), which has been available since March 2017. Therefore, it is desirable to evaluate the characteristic differences between the V4 and the previous V3 products. A comprehensive performance evaluation of the errors of the successive V3 and V4 IMERGF prod...

Comprehensive Evaluation of High-Resolution Satellite-Based Precipitation Products over China

Characterizing the errors in satellite-based precipitation estimation products is crucial for understanding their effects in hydrological applications. Six precipitation products derived from three algorithms are comprehensively evaluated against gauge data over mainland China from December 2006 to November 2010. These products include three satellite-only estimates: the Global Satellite Mappin...
